The Oil Valley Railway operates 144.86 miles of double-mainline track (72.43 |

each track) between Oil City, PA and New Castle Junction, PA. The OVR is a small regional road with a mere sixteen locomotives on the roster. Albeit a small fleet with regards to motive power, the railroad's territory is vitally rich in crude oil and has also become accessible only from the west, rendering it a dead-end stub of trackage. |

The OVR (and Venango County region) thrives economically by massive |

| amounts of crude and refined "black magic" shipped out of the valley, while incoming shipments are far far less in comparison. This unique geographic and economic condition has allowed the OVR to steadily improve it's roster over the previous five years. With more powerful locomotives able to pull more and more tonnage, these improvements to the OVR roster will unmistakably continue. The current roster is quite diverse with some locomotives having been built in 1947, and others delivered new just this year. | ||||||||||||||
